Join the Parent Teacher Association and work behind the scenes to support the school, the staff, the students, and the parents of North Ridge Elementary School. We are an organized group of parents who volunteer our time through working in the classroom, beautifying school grounds, designing a yearbook, fundraising to support our school, and so much more. We provide funds to support Cultural Arts, computers and tablets in classrooms, help when needed in sponsoring children on field trips, updates around campus and the list goes on! We are especially excited about our October fall festival, Unicornucopia, which is one of our largest fundraising efforts to support these various programs.
Here are ten additional reasons how joining the PTA is beneficial!
It's good for your child. Research shows that children whose parents are involved in their school make better grades and have fewer disciplinary problems.
It's important to NRE. We support teachers and administrators and create a caring and supportive atmosphere at NRE.
You'll get connected. There's no better way to know what's going on at the school.
You'll be part of a network. Connect with a group of parents locally, state-wide and nationally who share a common goal of improving public education for all children.
You'll make a difference. Use your skills to help create the best educational environment possible for our children.
You'll be there. Being in the PTA keeps you involved in the life of your child at school.
You'll be a role model. Your child will see you taking time to make education better.
You'll help raise necessary funds. NRE PTA raises funds to improve the quality of the school for all children.
It's flexible. The PTA has a variety of small ways parents can help depending on your availability.
It's for every parent. All voices and opinions matter! It makes a difference when you get involved.
