Volunteers are an important part of our school community, and there are many opportunities available for you to participate. All Visitors and Volunteers must sign in at the front office and receive a sticker. We ask that visitors do not enter classrooms during the school day unless they are a volunteer or have a prior appointment with the teacher.
★ 2018-2019 Pta Board and Committee Positions - We Need Your Help★
School will be over in less than and month, and we’re *this close* to filling our 2018-2019 PTA board and chair roles—can you step up to help?
First and foremost, we need a PTA President. As with all of us, life happens; the same goes for our fearless leader Nikki Fountas who will be stepping down to take on a new adventure with her family in Boston. If you’ve got an itch to lead… let us know!
Or, if you would rather support the PTA behind-the-scenes, consider these positions:
Community Sponsorships (one Co-Chair down, one to go!)
Fifth Grade Fundraiser (calling all cool fourth-grade parents!)
The End of Grade tests for grades 3, 4, and 5 will occur from May 24th through June 8th and we are in need of proctors. Proctors should have volunteer clearance and need to attend a training that will be provided in May (time TBD).
It is a boring job but extremely important! We cannot run effective EOGs without extra proctors. We need as many bodies as possible, especially May 28th through June 1st, roughly from 8:20am - 12:00pm. You are encouraged to wear your Fit bit and sneakers. If interested, please contact Kathleen Mulder at email@example.com.
★ media center volunteers ★
We need your help! We're looking for volunteers in the media center. If anyone can help out during school hours, please stop by or contact Laura Lumb by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the school at 919-870-4100.
★ volunteers always needed for various pta committees ★
The PTA is always looking for volunteers to help with various committees that handle ongoing school programs and big school events. A list of each committee, a description of what they do, current committee chairs, and volunteer needs can be found here.
