Volunteers are an important part of our school community, and there are many opportunities available for you to participate. All Visitors and Volunteers must sign in at the front office and receive a sticker. We ask that visitors do not enter classrooms during the school day unless they are a volunteer or have a prior appointment with the teacher.
★ Volunteer With NRE Book Swap ★
It's time to clean up your bookshelves!
Our annual North Ridge Book Swap will be held on Friday, June 7th.
Students may bring in books in good condition that are elementary age appropriate (no board books and no teenage books please!) to trade for some different books to read over the summer. Each child will be allowed to trade up to five books. Children are welcome to donate more than five books, though. The additional books would allow children in need to participate as well. Please remind your kids that these are all second hand swaps, they should not expect to get all book store quality selections.
Book Drop Off will be from 8:30-9:30 on Friday, June 7th in the Media Center. Adults must accompany children to the media center if they drop books off before the 8:45 bell.
Students will shop for their traded books during the last 20 minutes of their specials time. Some of the better books will be saved for the afternoon shoppers so everyone will hopefully get some good choices.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS are welcomed and extremely helpful for this event. Please contact email@example.com if you are willing to volunteer for any or all of June 7th's Book Swap event.
