Info on Admission, Attractions, Volunteering, Donations, Spirit Week, Voting for Principal/Teacher Challenges, and Raffle Tickets!
Come celebrate with your fellow Unicorn families at the annual school festival Friday 5/3/19 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm (raindate 5/10/19). There will be a variety of booths and food vendors to enjoy! Up-and-coming NRE families are welcome to attend, so please spread the word to any friends whose children will be attending next fall.
How Do I Get In?
From now until 5/2/19, you can pre-order an event bracelet, which includes admission to the event and unlimited participation in the booths/games. Cost is $15 for 1 bracelet (2 for $25, 3 for $36) - great savings if you order early! Bracelets can also be purchased the day of the event for $18 each. To pre-order bracelets use the order form sent home in Monday folders or print the order form here and send it in with your child.
*Parents are not required to purchase a bracelet*
PRE-ORDER PICK-UP - On Thurs 5/2, there will be a bracelet “drive-thru” where adults will have an opportunity to pick-up pre-ordered bracelets in advance. We will have the drive-thru in the morning and the afternoon. Volunteers will be in the back corner of the East Millbrook parking lot (closest to the modular campus) and you can simply get your bracelets as you’re leaving carpool. Signs will be posted to make sure you know where to go. There will also be will call tables available the day of the event.
What Can I Do There?
Eat. Play. Even better… do both!
Our food vendors will be Chick-fil-A, Chuy’s, Manhattan Pizza, and Kona Ice. We will also have booths selling drinks, popcorn and cotton candy. Please note that food, drinks, and souvenirs are additional purchases not included in the cost of the event bracelet.
For entertainment, kids can enjoy the following: inflatable slide and obstacle course, fairy hair, basketball shoot-out, bean bag toss, a Tae Kwon Do booth w/ Master Chang’s Martial Arts, face painting, balloon animals, hip hair booth, tattoo parlor, plasma car races, walk-the-plank at Pirate Cove, photo booth, DJ, football toss, ER booth AND they get to watch Mr. Soutter and select teachers take part in special challenge students will vote on during SPIRIT WEEK!

*Volunteering is not restricted to parents! Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and reliable high-schoolers are welcome to help out.
DONATE ITEMS THIS WEEK AND NEXT!
Donation collection starts after spring break. There will be volunteers to collect items in carpool or your child can bring items to school labeled for Unicornucopia. Each grade level is assigned a category of items to donate. You are welcome to contribute anything in addition to the requested items.
Kindergarten/1st grade: - Colored Hair Spray for Hip Hair booth (check party stores, WalMart)
2nd/3rd grade: ER Booth items (band aids, white sheets for making bandages, medical tape, gauze, etc.)
4th grade: Canned soda and Bottled Water
5th grade: Individually Wrapped Candy
*Also needed (please label so it can be returned): large coolers and extension cords*

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the voting table for $1. The raffle drawing will take place the night of the event (you do not need to be present to win). Raffle items include:
